The Space In Between
c 2012 (Turner)
What you say and what you do
Are what you are, some say that is true
So... when you say or do?
Will they never misconstrue?.
Shout your name, you know the game.
In and out, or round-a-bout. like or not
you play it just the same.
Sit you down, discard that frown
Over played, this masquerade, you forgot
the mask conceals a clown.
What you say and what you do
Are what you are, some say that's true
Will they ever say or do?
What you eat and what you dream
Are tied in fate or so it seems
Will they ever float downstream?
Father Time, he comes to dine
Reaper scout, in a sea of doubt.
Some, they say "We've got to go there"
Some say "We must get away"
And some, they say "You go to hell, boy"
And some, they just say "Let us pray"
It's empty, the space in between
Some favour acts of for giveness
Some need the taste of revenge
And some feel compelled to confess
And some, they are sworn to avenge
It's empty, the space in between
Some want the world to be re-born
Some want an animal farm
It's empty, the space in between
Some will want peace now for all men
Some have the need to do harm
It's empty, the space in between
I could tell you a tale from Timbuktu
When the tall trees grew and the streets led down to the sea.
Sands of time all around, but riches abound
Like an empty pot full of hope and out on a spree.
Lost and gone to the past, a playless cast,
It is gone to memoirs of Father Time's old trustee.
It's a story, an allegory too,
Of a time gone by that no glory can guarantee.
Hand in hand go the blind, they're forming lines,
So sure of fate, it's a timeless fraternity.
Wave them on, let them sing a heroes song
Then come along to the very last jubilee
Out from the pan to the fire
Over the hill to the moon
Time is an endless supplier
Of tales for the brave to lampoon
Take two steps back and one for ward
Sure to get there very soon
That's the way we seem to reward.
Don't choke on your silvery spoon.

In The Grand Scheme of Things
c 2011 (Turner/Robinson)
The day will come when power wears a glove.
The earth enjoys eternal light and love.
All children won't know war,
Borders won't trap the poor,
And paper power will exist no more.
There is a clearing in the clouded sky.
The time has come to spread our wings and fly.
The age of wonder is upon our home.
When Gods and Men will finally share the throne.
The afterlife is now,
No need to break the vow,
The where's and why's will give way to how.
Prepare yourself for this eternal flight,
Turn your third focus to insight.
Drifting through time on a wing and a rhyme.
The Earth seems so small from above.
Falling through ages lost with the tides.
The eagle now flies with the dove.
Magical verses float in the ether,
Celestial choirs sing their songs.
Distant the memory of what there once was,
Traveling to where we belong.
Through the tides,
Just hold your head high,
And let time drift by.
Though seasons may try,
To cloud your blue sky,
The time's come to fly.
Soon after the fall of time,
When our children are free from pain.
We'll hear the refrain sung from the stars!
In the grand scheme of things time is a dream.
In the grand scheme, things aren't what they seem.
In the grand scheme of things life will proceed.
In the grand scheme of things I don't exist.
In the grand scheme, the grand scheme of things will unfold.
The day will come when power wears a glove.
The earth enjoys eternal light and love.
No children will know war,
Borders won't trap the poor,
And paper power will exist no more.
There is a clearing in the clouded sky.
The time has come to spread our wings and fly.

Enigma At The Louvre
c 2009 (Turner/Robinson)
Come now, travel to New Indigo!
Point your compass squarely east of Jericho.
There we’ll climb the broken pyramid.
Thirty-three is not Majority.
I know what you’re hiding!
Who can you trust to confide in?
So, why not just let it go?
Save the world from history,
It’s in our hands.
To set this world free!
Do, you see the Eagle fly?
They painted out the night,
And plucked him from the sky.
So, why don’t you let it go?
And save this world from hertz,
just let it go!
I know the time will come
When all will see the light
That shines from every soul
And separates the darkness from the night.
Once upon a farce
I felt I knew it all
But now I feel I've been betrayed
I'm just the sacrificial cow.
Come home soon said the Man on the Moon.
We’ve a place for you in the Paris Commune,
The seventh son plays a curtain tune for you.
The time to wink is the time to see.
The Turf Club patrons all agree,
Why is their only swan song overdue?
A Curates egg, by some mistake,
Could give as much as they could take.
The land will quake and change its point of view.
The Seventh Son of the seventh Sun
played ducks and drakes ‘till the summer’s done.
He’s on the run to look for something new!
The summer’s gone.
Madness reigns on.
Moving fingers write, "The donkeys are leading us all.
Led by the Holy eight ball".
Mockery against the wall.
I think therefore I think I am.
I am pink therefore I am ham.
I drink because I can.
Please release me, let me go free. Just
show me the way to the door.
I want to retire from this war.
To be left alone!
No more Alternative three
No more presidential decree
Free just to be and plant seed
But.....
There’s a chill in the air,
Our winter is near
We were so close to the truth
So close to our labor’s sweet fruit,
But now the idea is moot,
the voice of the innocents mute.
Here comes the fire, let it burn higher!
The rising tides rage in their beds,
The best laid plans of mice and men...
Curse this machine, killer of dreams
It serves you and I just as well.
Our freedom is now a cartel
Sifting through the wreckage,
I can hear me saying things I never said.
Has everything that happened just existed here,
or was it in my head?

White Feathers
c 1994 (Turner)
You're a desert Lion
Warrior without a tribe
And a sense of pride
Gets you into trouble
Judging by the times
You've laid down your life
For the desert Lion
Feeds your fascinated heart
With a sense of wonder
Love's the noble savage
If you knew the truth
Side by side
The clashing swords collide
You're fighting for the glory
Night and day
Some fall, some live to tell
A never ending story
You're a desert Lion
Dashing blue white arab's son
With a will of iron
Renegade they call you
Fighting the good fight
You're out of your mind
These are desperate times
Their country is inflamed with war.
And you're on the wrong side
Thinking you're so right
When you're fighting the good fight
Side by side
The clashing swords collide
You're fighting for the glory
Night and day
Some fall, some live to tell
A never ending story
You knew exactly what you had to do
When you left home
You knew the goal
It was all down to you
Was yours alone
White Feathers will never break your bones
But they will kill you in the end
White Feathers from four friends
You knew they'd have to take them back from you
And eat their words
You knew the fault it was all down to you
And that much hurt
But the deepest cut that hurts
Your heart, will kill you in the end
And white feathers from four friends
You knew of everything you'd have to do
When you left home
You knew the goal
It was all down to you
Was yours alone
White Feathers will never break your bones
But they will kill you in the end
White Feathers from four friends
You're a desert legend
Bedouins will call your name
And they pray their Ummah
To send you back to save
The fighting of the hoards
From out of the West.
But you're dead and gone
Legend's all that's left behind
Just a desert song
Some, they wish to love you
Fighting the good fight.
Side by side
The clashing swords collide
You're fighting for the glory
Night and day
Some fall, some live to tell
A never ending story

Eyes of the Innocents
c 2010 (Turner/Robinson)
The eyes of innocents
Gaze their final glimpse of yesterday,
Then shuffle on their way.
Cries from time's corridor
Echo distant warriors 'til they're heard,
But never spoke a word.
Conscience in formal dress
Barred and locked behind an open door.
Where they were before.
Reflecting countless years
Cast between the mirrors in the sea,
Reflecting all eternity.
I remember times that are yet to be,
Modeled on an age long prophecy.
Time resonates with unknowing frequency.
The mists of Avalon would part,
The names were called as they embark.
As tears of Isis fall like rain,
Sands of time slip through the glass,
Elegies of times long past
Once the arcane
Has it all come down to this?
Is there something that I missed?
One final tryst?
Did this all happen before?
I'm sure it has.
What the future has in store,
Lies in the past.
Maybe it's only a dream,
It's your choice to laugh or scream,
Quickly choose, time's running short.
Toss the dice and cast the die,
Questions that have no reply
Impede your counsel from the sky!
Monuments cross the land
Millennia, still they stand.
Not out of tune,
Still watching the moon.
A secret past
The die is cast
But Mayans wait
Before the gates open wide.
And so the mighty flower
Hides herself away.
Until the chains of power
Hear a whisper say,
I too have died so many many times
With no significance.
The ones who overcame all of their crimes
Are the eyes of innocents
I remember times that are yet to be,
Modeled on an age long prophecy.
Time resonates with unknowing frequency.
I remember times that are yet to be,
Struggling with forgotten prophecy.
Only the eyes of the innocents can see
I remember times that are yet to be,
I remember times that are yet to see,
I remember... Time.
Cash cavaliers
Were knowing for years
That the temperature's begun to rise.
Ringing in my ears,
A secret past appears.
Is it too late for much compromise?
We cower here
To avoid the glare
of the eyes of the innocents.
Waters are heightening,
The vice keeps on tightening,
So the time has come to watch the sky.
No use re-writing,
It's time for enlightening,
And to wake from our collective lie.
From age to age
We've fashioned our cage
For the eyes of the innocents
